Mallika Sherawat goes green

Mallika Sherawat is taking her love for the organic a step further. The actress, who believes in the naturalist way of living will wear an Anita Dongre outfit bearing an environmental message to the opening of the luxury hotel
Atlantis, The Palm in Dubai. Says a source close to Sherawat, "Mallika will be flying to Dubai on November 19 for the opening (November 20) of Atlantis, The Palm. Kylie Minogue will perform at the party. Other stars expected include Denzel Washington, Sharon Stone, Robert De Niro and Oprah Winfrey among others."

The designer says, "I have given Mallika the option of wearing two gowns for the opening and a dress which she will wear at the party that night. They are fully embroidered, flesh-coloured gowns with sequins and crystals which will flatter Mallika's body beautifully. The dress is very interesting as it has a little message on nature. Apart from the fact that Mallika loves everything natural, I have been veering towards organic clothes of late. This dress, though not made of organic stuff has got a relevant theme with green as its basic color. All the outfits are fully hand-embroidered, high couture, timeless classic pieces and took three weeks to create."The developers and operators of the hotel have sent invites to 2000 guests including prominent CEOs, business leaders, politicians, actors and musicians and members of the Dubai Royal Family. The Palm Jumeirah has been cited as one of the newest icons of the world and Atlantis, The Palm, is set to be one of the most luxurious resorts in the Middle East, with 360° views of the ocean, restaurants from acclaimed chefs and an 11 million-litre marine habitat that is home to more than 65,000 animals. Palm Jumeirah Island will be lit up in a giant fireworks display on November 20.

Mallika Sherawat wins US Award

Mallika Sherawat will be dashing off to sunny California this Sunday to pick up the 2008 Renaissance Artist Award presented by the Multicultural Motion Pictures Association. It is being awarded for her distinctive on-screen persona that 'allows their character depictions to bring audiences from laughter to tears.'

Mallika was said to have been stunned by the news. "I thought it was a hoax!" she exclaimed, "But then I said stranger things than an Indian actress getting an award in Hollywood have happened - like a handsome black man in the White House!" Previous winners have included Halle Berry, Monica Bellucci and Salma Hayek. "I’m certainly not in their league yet," said Mallika modestly, "But hopefully in ten years – when I’ve worked as long as they have, I’ll have a body of work that’s as good."

Meanwhile, after appearing in one multicultural film with Jackie Chan, The Myth, Mallika is currently filming another, Hissss. "It’s going to shock the hell out of you, but you will be entertained," she promises. Other key roles for Mallika have included Murder, Dasavatharam, Welcome, Ugly aur Pagli and Maan Gaye Mughal-e-Azam.

Finally, Mallika pulls off the paradoxical feat of appearing so cool on the cover of the latest edition of Grazia that she can only be described as hotter than hot!

Mallika Sherawat Wins An Award In US

She may not get many awards back home, but Mallika Sherawat has been selected for a US award that’s given to international artistes of diverse creative talents.

The Bollywood siren is headed to California to receive the 2008 Renaissance Artist Award which is given by the US-based Multicultural Motion Picture Association as a part of its Diversity Awards.

Mallika will receive the award at the star-studded gala dinner on Sunday. Celebrities from the entertainment industry worldwide will attend the presentation ceremony at the Universal Studio’s Global Theatre.

With the award, Mallika joins the ranks of Salma Hayek, Halle Berry and Monica Belluci, all of who have been the past recipients of the same award.

The award is given to celebrities for their “distinctive onscreen persona that is uniquely their own…” according to the citation on the award.

Speaking about the news of award, Mallika says it took time to sink in and she first thought it was a hoax.

The actress has worked with Jackie Chan in The Myth and is presently working on Jennifer Lynch’s movie Hisss along with Hollywood expert Robert Kurtzman.

Mallika makes Ravi Chopra uncomfortable

Actress Mallika Sherawat was an unusual visitor at veteran filmmaker B.R. Chopra's Chautha ceremony just a few days back. If you can unearth her connection with the Chopras let us know.

Our source recalls the incident, "A lot of industry people – actors, filmmakers and musicians were present for the Chautha. Everyone was coming in and after bowing down in front of the legendary filmmaker's photo frame was going towards Ravi Chopra and offering mute condolences passing ahead. But Mallika Sherawat could not contain herself doing just that and moving ahead. She spent a good few minutes chitchatting with Ravi Chopra offering him her condolences. She just wasn't stopping offering her words of encouragement and support to him. Chopra's uncomfortability was completely visible on his face but there was nothing that he could do to stop her apart from nodding his head in assertion. Now what surprised everyone present was the fact that she is not even an acquaintance of Ravi Chopra leave alone being friends with him. She has also neither worked in any of the B.R. Productions films before nor is she slated to do any of their upcoming films. So what exactly was the reason of her arrival there and offering such a long condolence? Maybe perhaps she couldn't stop herself from hogging the attention even at a serious occasion like such."

Mallika Sherawat celebrates birthday in jungle

Mallika Sherawat Mallika Sherawat was busy shooting for her film Hisss in the jungles of Kerala on her birthday.

The actress won’t forget her 31st birthday which she spent shooting in the mud and slime of the forest of Tekkady where it has been raining cats and dogs since last few days. To make things worse, the jungle is full of blood-sucking leeches.

If anything was left, Mallika was rendered immobile on the shooting location after slipping into the snake-suit she has to wear during the shoot. In fact, once Mallika puts on her suit, she can’t even go to loo for many hours.

Amidst all the hardwork and strife, the crew of ‘Hisss’ decided to bring some cheer to Mallika by throwing a birthday party after the day’s shooting on Friday.

Since Mallika loves to eat raw food (for health and fitness reasons) the crew arranged a cake that was made of vegetables and nuts. Even the food that was served had nothing but raw vegetables.

Mallika’s brother and the film’s co-producer Vikram Singh wasn’t there with the actress on her birthday but he reportedly spoke to her on the phone.

‘Hisss’ is being directed by Jennifer Lynch and has special effects by Robert Kurtzman. Mallika plays a snakewoman in it.

'Mallika is one of the most beautiful women I've met'

She is the daughter of four time Oscar nominee David Lynch and is making her first Bollywood film. I bet whoever is reading this must've raised their eye brows. Anyway, let's move on. You've seen Mallika Sherawat dressed as a nagin, but the person who is responsible for her role is this woman. She then roped in Irrfan Khan too in the film who plays a homicide detective. That's not all. The film has music by Anu Malik and is entirely shot in India. There's more. Since 1993 she has only written and directed Hollywood films out of which her first film, Boxing Helena, which was surrounded in controversy got her instant recognition. With the success of her new film, Surveillance, showcased at last year's Cannes Film Festival, she is now in for her toughest and the most challenging task of directing her first Indian film titled Hissss, to be released in May 2009. We get you this exclusive candid interview with the award winning director and finds out that whatever projects Jennifer Lynch undertakes in the years to come, she will surely find newer ways to fuse art and science in her luminous tales of hope and wonder. The rest as they say, will be Hisssstory!

In my six years as a Bollywood columnist, I've managed to speak to anyone and everyone in the world of Bollywood. This is the first time I'm going to interview a Hollywood director. Is it me being lucky or Jennifer Lynch?
(laughs) I think it's both of us being lucky only because of the fact that I get to talk to you about this which means that it's as real as I hope it is and the fact that you are interested in talking about it. I am super proud of the film and it's a win-win situation here.

How did Mallika Sherawat come across as a Bollywood actress? I mean, was she poisonous?
(laughs) She is easily one of the most accessible and beautiful woman I've met in my life. I am definitely putting her to the test in Hissss. I hope this film is incredibly challenging and fulfilling for her. Mallika is incredibly kind, smart and successful and you always think that such actors don't exist. But here was Mallika, who is a power house of talent and I am really excited about her role in the film. She is the Bollywood queen and has an incredible potential too. She is the next big thing in Bollywood.

What brings you to Mumbai all the way to direct a Hindi film?
What's amazing is the fact that Mumbai chose me. Govind Menon, the producer had heard of me through one of his friends. Govind was in Los Angeles looking for writers and directors for this project and his friend had seen a film of mine and told Govind to meet me. We met and four days later I was signed as a director. I was instantly in love with the 'The Legend of Nagin', the old title of the film. I had never been to India before and loved the idea of writing the modern day version of thousand year old snake myths and beliefs. I then came to India for research and I fell madly in love with India.

So did you agree to do the film before reading the script?
Yes, there was no story yet. The only thing which was ready was the title, 'The Legend of Nagin'. I was told that you don't mess with the cobra especially when she is mating or else she'll come after you. Then I was told that the cobra is also a goddess. From there on, I wanted to read the script, to which Govind said that it wasn't ready.

Didn't such a story freak you out?
In Christianity in America, a snake is meant to be a villain, a serpent. It's a dangerous thing, a demon. In India it's a goddess. I was thrilled with both, the Indian and the American idea, what purity is and what is good and what is bad. When I came to India and realised that apples were a delicacy, I thought that between a serpent and the apples, I had my garden of Eden reference. I just had an American villain now and my film. The only American in the film is the villain.

How did you rope in Hollywood's best, Robert Kurtzman, the make-up and special effects specialist?
He is very well known in Hollywood. He has worked with Quentin Tarantino and many famous Hollywood directors. Robert is a special effects genius and he fell in love with the snake because it's something that he hasn't yet worked on as far as special effects and make-up goes. The Americans have never seen such a snake and the Indians too haven't seen the nagin the way I've designed her. She is no longer a tiny snake. Once the woman becomes the snake, it's enormous. Robert loved the idea and wanted every effect in camera by keeping it as sensual as possible. Hissss is a sensual story and I had to add the sensuality element in the form of Mallika Sherawat.

Why such a name? Why not go for a simpler title which people can understand and can relate to?
It was called Nagin - The Snake Goddess. As a result of all the pre-publicity, the producers thought that people were concerned about nagin films as there were too many films made on such a subject in India. The producers wanted to appeal to the global audiences here and so did I. But I didn't want to drift away from the point that the film was about a nagin and that nagin had to remain in the subtitle or the byline as you say. I'll be happy with the sound she makes (Hissss) because it makes you ask a question. The title now is Hissss, the vengeance of nagin. It also makes me wonder. The response has been good so far.

Irrfan Khan has worked with the likes of Angelina Jolie in The Mighty Heart. What made you cast him for Hissss?
Yes, I am aware of this fact. Irrfan Khan always used to struck me whenever I thought of this film. His roles before had left a resonating echo in me and I saw that. What I looked for in the role which he is playing of a homicide detective was a man with a lovely marriage but also a bit of a skeptic. Miracles are happening and insanity is taking place and he is the one edge of the story that needs to be human but also needs to hold out on its belief so that he has a balance in the film. I just thought that he was the perfect strength to play the role. He blew my mind with the sensitivity and the strength he had in him as an actor.

How did Mr. Ram Gopal Varma land up on the sets of Hissss and did he show any interest of working with you in the near future?
Yes, he expressed quite a lot of interest in being any part of the project he could and was over whelmed by the sets and the script and what was happening in front of him during his visit. He said that he'd never seen anything like it in India. The comments were incredibly flattering for me. He has come on the sets twice now and spent quite a lot of time interacting and observing the way the film was shot. It's nice to have a director like Ram Gopal Varma appreciate what you're doing. That was lovely.

Did you hear of Mr. Ram Gopal Varma before he came on your sets?
I've heard of him through others. When you come to India you seem to hear about people who everybody adores and he is top on the list.

So how's the entire journey of Hissss been so far? Was the road rocky or smooth?
In the hindsight, everything is smooth and worthwhile. I'm a big fan of the saying - Nothing worth doing is easy. The journey so far has been incredibly tough yet trying and joyful. It's a totally different situation I'm being put into because there are so many 'firsts' in this film. It's the first new version of nagin, it's the first heavy duty special effects film shot in India, it's the first for a lot of things and that's a testament that when you're working on such grounds, it's never going to be easy.

Do you get enough sleep then?
(laughs) I try to. Everyday when I go to bed and wake up the next day, I feel unbelievably grateful that this is the film I'm really proud of and excited about. And I say this with great laughter and comedy that Hissss isn't easy (read - this isn't easy).

Can I now say - Who said that only Anaconda's exists...meet the Nagin.
Exactly. You're right. Wait till the Nagin comes out!

Have you got any songs in the film?
Yes we do. Anu Malik is the music director of Hissss. At one point, Anu wasn't sure what I wanted earlier and went back and forth a few times till he struck gold. I'm interested in touching today's audiences by reminding them of what has been great about Nagin films. Today we just shot a Holi song sequence and to see everybody dancing to it was really inspiring and satisfying.

So Bollywood has finally accepted Jennifer?
I hope so and that's what I'd like to hear.

Mallika Sherawat turns Baddie?

Mallika SherawatHot belle Mallika Sherawat will play a negative role in Kamal Hassan’s Tamil film DASAVATHARAM. The film also stars South Indian actress Asin in the lead role and Mallika plays the second lead. Rumor has it that Mallika has been paid twice of what Asin is being paid. She was a little apprehensive about playing a negative role so early in her career but she gave in ultimately. Kamal Hassan has written the script and plays 10 different roles in the film. Mallika is taking lessons to get a hang of the language. The film is scheduled for a mahurat on 18th August.

Mallika Sherawat’s lips sealed but not with a kiss

Spicezee Bureau

Mumbai, Oct 23: Known for outspoken ways and blunt retorts, tantrum queen Mallika Sherawat has been finally made to zip her lips and stop blabbering by ‘videshi’ director Jennifer Lynch. Some guts you would think on director’s part! Certainly, we would like to say that Mallika has met her match as the sultry actress has gone mum for a mere role requirement.

Mallika, who will be very soon seen spilling venom on the silverscreen, has turned into a deadly hissing snake in Jennifer lynch’s flick, but she will be doing so without mouthing any dialogues.

As a part of her role in the flick, the actress will be doing all the talking ‘without talking’ as she has no lines to deliver.

Speaking to a news daily, Jennifer Lynch revealed, "Mallika will not speak a single line of dialogue in the film. She plays a snake so how can she be expected to talk? Her character does not know the human language. The world of words and sentences are completely unknown to her."

What’s interesting is that even when Mallika transforms into her human avatar, she does not speak and communicates via her snaky senses.

So, how did the ever so chirpy Mallika react to her ‘no speaking’ situation?

In her true spunky style the diva completely freaked out. "Mallika actually freaked out when she was told that she had no lines. It was a natural reaction because as an actress she is used to convey her emotions and expressions through dialogues. But she took up this role as a challenge", adds Jennifer.

Katrina Kaif to perform on New Year's eve

Katrina Kaif is surely riding high these days. After delivering hits like Namastey London, Welcome, Race and latest being Singh Is Kinng, Katrina has indeed moved to the A-league.

Now the actress is cashing in on this very popularity of hers by agreeing to perform at a grand show in Mumbai on New Year's Eve.

Katrina would be performing at Mumbai's plush J W Marriott hotel on Dec 31. The actress, needless to say has been paid a huge sum of money, for this performance.

Noted designer Rocky S would be in charge of her costumes while Bosco-Caesar will be choreographing her act.

It may be recalled that last New Year's Eve saw Bipasha Basu performing at the same hotel while the year before that saw Mallika Sherawat move her body.

This year however, all eyes will be on Katrina, as she brings in the New Year performing to some of her biggest hits.

So all you die-hard Katrina Kaif fans, you know where to go this New Year's eve.

Mallika Sherawat lying birthday!

Mallika Sherawat BirthdayThere have been discprencies about Mallika’s age for a while now.

Not very long ago, a news channel reported about how Mallika’s been lying about her age. They aired details about how she was 23 when she was working as an air hostess in 1994. They splashed proof too!

So how come she is turning 27 and not 37 in 2008 after 14 long years? Some websites have reported that Mallika’s celebrating her 27TH birthday on October 24!

There were even talks about the dame being married for a while and how she still claimed to be a virgin, making her the first married virgin on earth!

We know that she has achieved quite a lot in life with her very own bold style and has given good performances in movies like ‘Murder’ and ‘Pyar Ke side effects’.

Well, she’s also well maintained for a middle aged woman and has a great body and all that, but does it give her the right to lie about her age?

Well, it must have a lot to do with the film industry being age conscious. Mallika is kind of doing what the likes of Bipasha, Vidya and Sherlyn etc are doing!

So it will be better if she stops the talks about being different and all that!

Mallika Sherawat celebrates birthday in jungle

Mallika Sherawat was busy shooting for her film Hisss in the jungles of Kerala on her birthday.

‘Mallika is the body of my film’

If the select few who have seen the rushes of Maan Gaye Mughal-e-Azam are to be believed, Mallika Sherawat has returned to the Murder mode.

The sex symbol will be locking lips with co-actor Rahul Bose several times over. And their intimate scenes are said to be “very hot.”

Director Sanjay Chhel reasons, “Mallika is playing an upcoming actress so her look is very glam. She knows how to use her sensuality to wriggle out of difficult situations.”

He points out that while he would want to cash in on Sherawat’s ‘hot’ image and reel in her audience, he doesn’t want the film to lose its distinctive flavour.

“Maan Gaye Mughal-e-Azam is a contemporary black comedy.. a Woody Allen, Mel Brooks, Kundan Shah kind of a film. I’ve rewritten all the rules of commercial cinema. Mallika with her command over Punjabi and Haryanvi, is fabulous,” he says.

Spice it up
Chhel insists that the number of kisses in his film won’t surpass those in Khwaish and Murder. “Yeah, Mallika is the body of the film, Paresh Rawal is its soul and Rahul the mind. After a point, sex becomes monotonous and boring. You need a good dose of comedy to spice things up.”

The writer-director will work with Sherawat again in Fauj Mein Mauj. The original director Murali Nagavalli was ousted because producer Ravi Walia was unhappy with the rushes. Chhel was signed on, reportedly on Sherawat’s recommendation.

Fauj Mein Mauj is reportedly a remake of the Hollywood hit, Goldie Hawn’s Private Benjamin. But Chel states. “I’m rewriting the script. Once we see how it shapes up, we’ll take a call on whether to officially buy the rights.”

Men fantasise about Mallika; Ash rules no more

The oomph of the sizzling Bollywood seductress Mallika Sherawat is so widespread that she was offered to pose for the center spread of the illustrious Playboy magazine. And now, in a special poll conducted by a popular news agency, Mumbai men have voted her as the most fantasized celebrity. Shockingly, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has bagged only one percent of the total votes!

Mallika certainly has men drooling for her and that’s no secret. But who would have thought, that the world’s most beautiful woman, Aishwarya would be considered the least sexy by men, that too in a city that shot her to fame. Lara and Bipasha followed Mallika’s score but Aish was placed last in the list.

Here’s what some men had to say about Mallika, “I fantasise about Mallika Sherawat because of the way she exposes in films; also she has a well-maintained body. I always imagine her naked.” Well, what can we say, guess its time up for Aishwarya!

Mallika asked to return Rs.2.5mn to Studio 18

Bollywood star Mallika Sherawat, currently riding on the crest of glory, has been delivered a piece of bad news by the industry's oldest body of producers, the Indian Motion Picture Producers' Association (IMPPA).

Not that it bothers her at all -- but it definitely pierced her ballooning ego.

Following a complaint by Studio 18 against her "starry tantrums", IMPPA early this week asked her to return Rs.2.5 million the banner had paid her early this year as signing amount for a movie, tentatively titled "Masquerade", according to industry sources.

Studio 18 had lodged the complaint because before the ink was dry on the agreement, the actress allegedly asked the production house to replace the movie's director, Kundan Shah.

When Studio 18 refused to oblige, she demanded the cinematographer be replaced with one of her choice, Madhu Ambat, who demanded Rs.4 million for the assignment, said the sources.

The production banner turned down her demand, saying the choice of the cinematographer was always the director's prerogative.

Not being able to have her way, Mallika Sherawat, as IANS had reported earlier, felt so affronted that she walked out of the movie, throwing the project topsy-turvy.

IMPPA has now ordered her to return the signing amount of Rs. 2.5 million within one month or else face the consequences, the sources said.

Mallika Sherawat was not available for a comment. Her business manager Vikram Lamba feigned ignorance about the IMPPA notice.

Sajjad Chunawala, of Studio 18, said the actress caused the production house a lot of damage. "We will not rest till she pays," he remarked.

Is the movie shelved?

"No, we are re-working it," Chunawala informed.

Mallika Sherawat To Act As Jesus Christ’s Friend

Mallika Sherawat has been named among the “Top 99 Most Desirable Women” list of the online AskMen magazine. Her plunging necklines and raised up hem lines have left many a mouths open out in wonder.

Her sensous body and sultry looks have left men asking for more.

Her movies are viewed with curiosity and wild excitement, one can see that wicked smile on a Man’s face when he is entering the theatre to watch a “Mallika Sherawat” Movie.

Is it the acting skills or the unmentionable skills!!!!!! that, actually thrills men:) She is considered to be “Pamela Anderson ” of the bollywood screen.

Sources reveal that Mallika will be trying out something different now, she will be acting the role of a friend of Jesus Christ in a hollywood flick.

Filmmaker Drew Heriot is coming up with a movie titled “The Aquarian Gospel” iwhich is about Jesus’s life between the ages of 13 and 30, a period not documented in the Gospels when legend has it he traveled through India, Tibet and Persia.

Mallika was chosen by Heriot, (who liked her work very much) to play the role of Saraswati- an indian yogi who befriends Jesus.

Well now what does Mallika have to say about this ????

The actress said it would be a challenge to bring to life her character as a female yogi in “The Aquarian Gospel”.

“I find that in most mythological and spiritual film stories, women seem to be lacking any true wisdom or a sense of humor,” Sherawat said in a statement released by her publicist.

“I look forward to bringing both of those qualities to this character.”

This movie is going to face a lot of trouble, as Christians will bull shit this whole concept. Heriot claims of supporting his story with facts.

I can already see the pope raising his finger against the movie !!!!!!

Mallika Sherawat to shut up and let her body do the talking

Hot and sexy babe Mallika Sherawat will not be uttering any words for her next flick, Hissss.
In the film Mallika will play the character of a snake, and all her scenes will see her expressing emotions and feelings through body language. Confirming this, director Jennifer Lynch says, “Mallika is a snake so how is she expected to talk? She doesn’t know the human language. The world of words and sentences is unknown to her. As a snake, she has other senses with which she communicates. Even when she transforms from her snake from to the human one, she doesn’t speak. Mallika kind of freaked out when she was told that she had no lines. As an actress, she is used to convey her emotions and expressions through dialogues.”

Irrfan Khan and Divya Dutta are playing supporting roles in the film which is expected be released mid-2009.

Mallika Sherawat video clip

No dialogues for Mallika Sherawat

By ApunKaChoice

The spitfire siren won’t speak even a single word in Jennifer Lynch’s movie Hisss .

Mallika Sherawat is standing up to a unique challenge nowadays. She is slithering into the skin of a snake for her role in ‘Hisss’.

Since she plays a snake-woman in the film, Mallika will reportedly have no dialogues but will emote only through facial expressions. This makes her task all the more daunting because acting without words is the real test of an actor’s mettle.

Unlike the umpteen Nagin films we have seen in Bollywood where the actresses get to mouth tomes of dialogues, director Lynch decided to keep the snakewoman in ‘Hisss’ more real. Lynch deems it absurd to make Mallika speak a human language when she actually plays a snake.

Mallika was initially shocked when she learnt that she would have no dialogues. Instead, she is required to put in a lot of hard work for getting her look right.

The actress often has to sit for hours for her make-up sessions and is confined in her especially created snake suit for hours on the sets. Once in a snake suit, she can’t even walk and has to be carried by unit-hands from one spot to another.

Mallika is going through this grind; and that too with muted dedication.

Bravo…snakewoman!

Mallika Kicked Kamal Hasan

Kamal Hasan is known for his Oscar Standard performances. He is known for his perseverance in task. He is also known for making hard things possible on silver screen. But still Mallika Sherawat is no way carried away by all these things. It seems she didn't consider Kamal as a star on earth. Although she acted with him in Dasavataram, she didn't get lured by him. She kicked out the offer from Kamal's Marmayogi. The budget of the film is Rs 100 Cr and she would certainly bag something big for her bit of work. But still she denied the offer.

We may feel that she has loads of money with her and hence not getting carried away for money as well. She is running behind banks for a loan of Rs 1 Cr.

Well, Kamal Hasan pulled in Mumaith Khan in the place of Mallika Sherawat now.

Ram Gopal Varma bowled over by Mallika’s nagin avatar

Mallika Sherawat’s latest nagin avatar has cast its spell over the black magic spinning director Ram Gopal Varma . The actress has hissed her way into Ramu’s heart and the director is simply speechless by Mallika’s drop dead gorgeous look.

Well, Ramu who rarely has any words of appreciation for any other director or filmmaker could not stop himself from raving about Mallika’s upcoming flick ‘Hissss’. So much was the director impressed by Mallika’s venom spilling act that he went on to the extent of calling ‘Hissss’ one of the greatest films ever made in India.

According to sources, ever since RGV heard about the film he had been trying to visit the sets. The director reportedly spoke to the leading lady Mallika, who invited him immediately. And eyewitnesses tell us that from the time Ramu arrived on the sets, he was all praises for not only Mallika but also by the entire film-making process.

Looks like, Mallika has won herself a critical fan.

Mallika SherawatMallika Sherawat to play oomph diva from south

If things go as planned, Bollywood bombshell Mallika Sherawat will act in a biopic on the late Tamil oomph diva ‘Silk’ Smitha.

Silk Smitha was a glamour queen of the 1980s Tamil cinema. She had a very tumultuous life with many depressing incidents that provoked her to commit suicide in 1996.

Grapevine has it that Ekta Kapoor, the lady at the helm of Balaji Telefilms, is toying with the idea of making a film on the life of Silk Smitha and she wants none other than Mallika Sherawat to play the glam doll.

The project is still in planning stages and none of the remaining cast and crew has been finalized.

Mallika, who played a small but significant role opposite Kamal Haasan in Dasavatharam , is the top contender to bag the role of Silk Smitha. Not only is Mallika now a known face downsouth, she also has the oomph to suit the role.

Presently, Mallika is busy shooting for Hisss in which she plays a snake woman.

Mallika says 'no' to Kamal Haasan

Mallika Sherawat has nixed a movie called Marmayogi with Kamal Haasan.. even though she was in his Dasarvatharam.

It seems she’s not in awe of K Haasan (neither am I, darling) or of the budget which is believed to be in the vicinity of Rs 100 crore. Are they okay or what?

Mallika was disappointed with the lukewarm commercial performance of the Tamil movie and has cited date hassles.

Hey but, shouldn’t she be grabbing any project offered to her? Because we heard that she’s been negotiating for a bank loan of Rs 1 crore. Oh well.

Back to the jilted Kamalji, he’s signed on Mumait Khan in Mallika place. And no, that’s not a guy. It’s a gal who did an item number in Munnabhai MBBS. Wow, what an improvement, no?

From Slinky to Silky: Mallika Sherawat

We may soon be seeing Mallika Sherawat play the role of Silk Smitha, the glamour queen of Kollywood in the 1980s. Silk Smitha came from a very poor family in Andhra Pradesh and left school after fourth grade determined to become a movie star. She made her debut in Vandi Chakkaram in 1979, from which she took her nickname Silk – her real name being Vijayalakshmi. She made over 200 movies in 15 years becoming a superstar of the South, amongst her best were Miss Pamela and Gitanjali. Sadly Silk Smitha’s life was anything but smooth and ended tragically.

Mallika is currently filming Hisss, having not had a terribly good year in Bollywood – both her high profile productions , Ugly aur Pagli and Maan Gaye: Mughal-e-Azam failed to set the box office alight. However, she is well-liked down south, following her role in Kamal Hassan’s Dasavatharam.

Mallika has been criticised recently for being high-handed and unpopular but she’s a sensitive soul and such comments hurt her. What does she have to say about her outspokenness: “I am just forthright. And I am not a hypocrite,” she says. “In an industry full of nepotism, I have made a mark. These star children get big breaks and plum roles. I have managed to create an impact and I am happy about the fact.”

And is she worried when some people say she relies too heavily on her sexual persona? "I feel sad for actresses who are not sexy,” she explains, “Poor things, yaar! I am happy to be a sex symbol, rather than be a symbol of anything else. Film is a visual medium, it’s important for an actress to appear glamorous. We work hard for a sexy image. I work on it for hours.”

RGV meets Mallika Sherawat on the sets of her film 'Hissss'

Mallika Sherawat worked with Ram Gopal Varma in his film Darna Zaroori Hai a few years back. However, after that, things reportedly turned a bit 'sour' between the Bollywood bombshell and the maverick director. In fact, a section of the media went on to say that RGV and Mallika are at loggerheads with each other.

All this speculation was put to rest when Ram Gopal Varma dropped by on the sets of Mallika's upcoming film Hissss, recently. Apparently RGV heard about the film from Mallika and immediately expressed his desire to visit the sets to see how Hollywood's leading special effects director, Robert Kurtzman, worked on creating the much-hyped 'Naagin' of the film. As we had reported earlier, a lot of detailing and effort has gone into getting the right look for Mallika's character.

Ramu (as he is fondly known as) interacted with Mallika, director Jennifer Lynch and even make-up and special effects expert Robert Kurtzman. The director was so impressed with Robert's work and the treatment of the film that he went on to say that Hissss has the potential to become one of the greatest films made in India. In fact, the director also expressed desire to work with Robert for one of his films in the near future.

Now Mallika Sherawat, Trade Mark

It is quite natural that companies get their name trade marked as well as their slogans. But, I tink Mallika Sherawat may be the first Indian movie personality who has trade marked her name. So Mallika Sherawat now stand Mallika SherawatTM . So she is looking put a claim on every penny which may be associated with her name. By this she is making sure that no one used her name for unauthorized publicity. But the name Mallika is in the public domain and there are many people my the same name and Sherawat surname is possed by many others. So can she put a legal claim on this ?
Mallika Sherawat will play a Nagin (snakewoman) in her next release, Hisss. Hisss is directed by Jennifer Lynch of Boxing Helena (1993) fame, which incidentally won her a Raspberry award for the worst director for the movie in 1994.

Mallika Sherawat's look in Nagin

Does not augur well for Hisss on the face of it. But, Hisss‘ costume, make-up, and special effects teasers have generated a lot of interest. You can see from the pictures here that this is not your standard Ramsay, or even Ramu (The Factory) horror film. Costume quality and makeup in the Hiss arfe definitely on Hollywood standards. We hold our judgement though on that ridiculous name Hisss - who chose that, some assistant director to the Ramseys?

The producers, Vikram Singh and Govind Menon, have roped in Robert Kurtzman, known for his expertise in make-up, special effects, and visual effects. Kurtzman has won the Saturn award in 1999, for make-up in the movie Vampires.

Mallika Sherawat is best known as the hottest bod in Bollywood. Mallika Sherawat was last seen in Maan Gaye Mughal-e-azam and Ugly aur Pagli, both of which were box-office disasters. She has also acted in The Myth with Jackie Chan.

Mallika Sherawat’s look has been crafted quite painstakingly in Hisss. In the movie, Mallika Sherawat has to wear huge contact lenses that even cover the white of her eyes. Mallika Sherawat has to take out the lenses every few hours to let her eyes breathe. The elaborate nagin elaborate costume has to be kept on for 8-10 hours at a stretch, and she has to be carried around.

Mallika cannot drink water or go to the loo during those 8-10 hours.

Mallika Sherawat was first noticed in Khwahish (2003), a movie that became famous for its seventeen kisses. The hero was forgotten, Mallika was both appreciated and condemned for her “boldness,” depending on which side of the fence you are on. Mallika Sherawat refused to apologise for her sexy image, rather she reveled in it.

Next came the 2004 Murder, which was a runaway hit. Mallika Sherawat played the role of a woman who has an extramarital affair.

All through her career, Mallika Sherawat has courted controversy because of her outspoken comments on sexuality.

Mallika Sherawat’s last hit has been Pyaar Ke Side Effects, a multiplex movie that did quite well, and gave her an opportunity to shed her sexy image.

Mallika Sherawat does not have any other films in her kitty right now, except the recently announced Unveiled. The other movie she was supposed to apppear in, Fauj Mein Mauj, has been shelved. Hisss is very important to Mallika’s career, in that sense.

Hisss revolves around a vengeful nagin (Mallika Sherawat), who shape shifts into a gorgeous woman and goes to the city to hunt for her mate, who has been captured from the jungle by an American, George States. Hisss also stars Irfan Khan who plays a cop who has to track her down to stop the destruction she unleashes in the city.

The vengeful nagin theme has been very popular in Indian cinema, with more than a dozen movies made on snakewomen, between 1925 and 1990. What is common among all the Nagin movies is the horrendous make-up and equally terrible special effects.

With good production values, Hisss might actually do justice to the tired theme. The last woman to play a Nagin in Bollywood was the sumptuous Sridevi in Nagina (1986). Nagina was a huge hit and even had a sequel.

Hope RGV’s acumen proves to be right this time and Mallika gets a much needed hit.

Mallika Sherawat's 'Hissss' attracts Ram Gopal Varma!

Ram Gopal Varma isn't the sort of a guy who would ever feel the need to learn a trick or two from another industry professional, but then Robert Kurtzman is no ordinary make-up and special effects technician, so RGV did drop by on the set of Hissss starring Mallika Sherawat!

Robert Kurtzman, 43, is master technician from Hollywood has worked on films such as Austin Powers: Goldmember (2002), Army of Darkness (1992) and From Dusk Till Dawn (1996) and has several awards and nominations under visual effects belt!

In Hissss Robert will handle the transformation of Mallika from an oomph oozing seductress who tempts you to jump out of your clothes and into her bed with her, to a venom oozing giant sized cobra that will make you jump out of your skin! Talk about snakes shedding their skins!

Anyway, RGV apparently heard about the film from Mallika and immediately expressed his desire to visit the sets to see how Robert worked on creating the much-hyped 'naagin' of the film.

Mallika then invited RGV to the sets and the director was so impressed with Robert's work and the treatment of the film that he went on to say that Hissss has the potential to become one of the greatest films made in India.

In fact, the director also expressed desire to work with Robert for one of his films in the near future.

Mallika makes her mark

Mallika Sherawat’s is a Pan-Indian figure and face. She is number one dream girl for youngsters all across the country.

That is why there has been a race among producers to book her in Tamil.

Of course, Mallika, being Mallika, has deigned to act only in two Tamil films. And that is with the two biggies --- Kamal and Rajni.

Sources say she will turn up for a dance in Rajnikanth’s Sivaji. Shankar has a penchant for Bollywood girls in his dance sequences. So Mallika has been the choice. Of course, a final word is still awaited on this.

Meanwhile, Mallika these days has been shooting for Kamal-Ravikumar’s Dasavatharam.

Mallika has been reportedly booked for a whopping sum of Rs. 40 lakhs.

Mallika, by all reckoning, is a very starry person and has been making a lot of demands on the production team.

She has also kept the media at bay, keeping their prying eyes and ears shut.

But Mallika, used to starry attitudes in Hindi, is amazed at the professionalism and punctuality of Kamal Haasan, who begins to get ready by around 4 a.m. for a shooting at 8 a.m. So impressed is she with Kamal that she can’t stop talking about his work culture.

Mallika Sherawat as Silk Smitha

Bollywood sex siren Mallika Sherawat has reportedly been assigned to do the lead in a biopic on south siren, Silk Smitha. The film will be produced by Ekta Kapoor of Balaji Films.

According to reports, the untitled movie will focus on the career and personal life of Silk Smitha, riveting actress of Tamil cinema in the 1980s. Balaji Films has delved in to do a lot of research on the script. The director and the rest of the cast are yet to be finalized.

When asked, Ekta said, 'It's a bit early to talk about it. We are in the initial stages.' It is expected that an official announcement will be made soon.

Ram Gopal Varma's visit to the sets of Mallika

Few years back, Mallika Sherawat and Ram Gopal Varma worked together in his directorial Darna Zaroori Hai a few years back. Unexpected tiff over certain issues had their good relationship drifted apart and indeed that happened to be the most favorite thing of media channels. Fine! All these things were put off once Director Ram Gopal Varma visited the sets of Mallika's upcoming film Hissss. Once Ram Gopal Varma heard about the film made by Hollywood technicians, he was right on his heels of visiting the sets to see the works of special effects director Robert Kurtzman.

For longer hours, Ramu did stay there glimpsing through the filming process by the versatile technicians. More enthralled by the fascinating style of filmmaking, Ram Gopal Varma said that Hissss will be one of the greatest films ever churned out in India. Merely, the auteur has expressed his wish to work with Director of Special Effects, Robert Kurtzman in future. Mallika Sherawat was more excited with Ramu extending his wishes for the success of film…

Mallika is Bollywood's latest 'Naagin'

I am proud of my versatility: Satish Kaushik'I'm thankful that I'm still getting good work'Sayali to romance Pak skipper on screenKajol to be ambassador of UK trust
Now this one's a first for Mallika Sherawat. The Bollywood hottie is all set to play the role of a 'Naagin' in the Bollywood- Hollywood co-production, ‘Hissss’, directed by renowned Hollywood director Jennifer Lynch.

The film, which also stars Irrfan Khan, is about the vengeance of a 'Naagin' (The Snake Woman) and is produced by Govind Menon & Vikram Singh. From the looks of it, a lot of detailing and effort seems to have gone in getting the right look for Mallika Sherawat's character. Mallika's character is of a snake that transforms into a stunningly attractive woman.

Robert Kurtzman, one of the greatest special effects artists of the West, has been entrusted with the job of giving the right look for Mallika in this film. Robert has worked on films such as ‘Vanilla Sky’, ‘Pulp Fiction’, ‘Spy Kids’ and ‘Evil Dead’.

The kind of make-up used is MUFX (prosthetic make-up) which is a technology that has won numerous awards. Two make-up artists have been working on Mallika's look and the material she wears is so slimy that at times it just sticks to the skin. What's more Madame Sherawat can't even move in her natural way with her make-up and at times is even carried to the sets. As for those scary eyes, Mallika is seen wearing some really huge contact lenses to get the desired effect.

Bollywood has seen films like ‘Naagin’, ‘Nagina’ and ‘Jaani Dushman’, which had actors transform into snakes and seek revenge but going by the detailing and styling gone into getting the right look for the Snake Woman in this film, we can safely say that this is a first of its kind in Bollywood.

Ageless Asha

RESHMA S KULKARNI

She reinvents herself to keep singing even at the age of 75. Asha Bhosle talks about the secret of her longevity.

She is the songstress with a golden voice spiced with naughtiness. Asha Bhosle belies her 75 years and the fact that, for 65 years, she has lent her magical vocals to a range of actors from Madhubala to Mallika Sherawat. At the launch of her latest a lbum during her birthday celebrations, she spoke about her life and career. Excerpts:

Mallika Sherawat set to swallow evil men in 'Hissss'

If there is any actress strapping and sensuous enough to swallow a whole man it is Mallika Sherawat, and the 'serial kisser seductress' turned 'serial hisser Naagin' is set to do just that in Hollywood director Jennifer Lynch's upcoming film 'Hissss.' Photo Credit: Split Image Pictures

Sawf News Exclusive

vijainder.k.thakur@sawfnews.com

October 06, 2008, (Sawf News) - If there is any actress strapping and sensuous enough to swallow a whole man it is Mallika Sherawat, and the 'serial kisser seductress' turned 'serial hisser Naagin' is set to do just that in Hollywood director Jennifer Lynch's upcoming film Hissss.

The subject of a vengeful Naagin has been handled in Indian films before but never with the combination of SFX and skills of a master technician like Robert Kurtzman.

Sawf News asked Jennifer how much was she relying on special effects in her interpretation of the myth?

"Exploring Naagin with SFX was the next logical step, though not mine alone. Producer Govind Menon brought the idea to me with SFX included. This appealed to me immediately as I feel the myth of Naagin is an organic and authentic femme fatale legend... Worthy of a sensual and terrifying touch. Rob Kurtzman has brought this concept to life."

Hissss makes a radical and intriguing departure from past Naagin films by showing Mallika turn into a giant hooded cobra instead of a normal sized cobra. The size of the cobra matches that of the snake woman making the transformation physically more realistic.

Though her take conforms more to the laws of physics we wondered if Jennifer perceived a risk in making the departure from the myth.

"An enormous cobra was the only way to go for me...not to escape the previous films' set up, but because I wanted a female creature large enough to swallow a man whole. As to whether or not this size change is a risk... I guess I hope it is...risks cause me to evolve, safety is a fast track to death."

India has a lot of other myths and legends that are waiting to be exploited using modern day SFX. Have you explored any of them?

"I have not yet researched any other Indian myths, as I am solely focused now on this one...but I am held mystically captive by India and all of its' tales...I hope to work here for many years to come."

We have to ask you this. Does Mallika do an item number before turning into a cobra?

"Mallika does not sing her way into cobra form, but in my filmmaker heart, her transformation has a definite 'sound'.

"Irrfan Khan, Divya Dutta, Jeff Doucette, Raman Trikha, Mallika and all others are bringing this myth to light and life in a way I hope audiences will embrace as I am."

Mallika sherawat hottest ever clip

Mallika Sherawat (Hindi: मल्लिका शेरावत, born October 24, 1981[1] as Reema Lamba in Karnal, Haryana, India) is a popular Indian actress and model. Known for her public openness, she is frequently featured in the Indian media as a sex symbol.[1][2]

Mallika’s onscreen debut was in Lak Tunoo, a music video by Surjit Bindrakhia. She attracted wide notice with her appearance in the 2003 movie Khwahish. In 2004, she starred in Murder, a film inspired by Hollywood’s Unfaithful. She received a nomination for Best Actress at the Zee Cine Awards ceremony for her performance in Murder. The film went on to become one of the biggest hits of the year.[3]
Since then, Sherawat has been known for her courage to express her opinions in public, as well as because of the reaction to some of her statements[4]
She also made news when she won a small role in a Jackie Chan movie, The Myth; she made a widely publicized appearance at the Cannes Film Festival to promote The Myth.
However, her performance in the 2006 film Pyaar Ke Side Effects co-starring Rahul Bose won her praise from around the industry,[5] and the film also garnered decent collections at the box office becoming a moderate success.[6]
She is now beginning to work in the Kollywood (Tamil) film industry as well after her item number in a Kannada film. Her debut was Dasavathaaram, starring Kamal Haasan, Asin, and Jayapradha, in which she plays one of the lead antagonists.

On the transition from TV to Silver Screen - Sachin Khot

On the transition from TV to Silver Screen - Sachin KhotThe film Ugli Aur Pagli, touted as 99 Slaps and 1 Kiss stars Mallika Sherawat and Ranvir Shorie. This film has been directed by Sachin Khot, who earned name and fame as the creator of the most popular TV serial Shanti and many others.

On the theme of Ugly Aur Pagli
The concept is an age old syndrome of opposites attracting each other; we just took a realistic take on the same. Today’s 21st century girl is more aggressive and dominating in a relationship. In most of the love stories, we see males leading the relationship with lots of mushiness, but in this, I have tried some thing that’s really different and interesting. In this story, the girl dominates the relationship and we have removed the mushiness out of the love story.

On the transition from TV to Silver Screen
Yes, I have directed few TV serials in the past and it is a huge transition for me from TV to films. I directed TV serial called ‘Shanti’ starring Mandira Bedi in its third year in 1997. Besides that, I have also shot several other serials. During the nascent stage, when I was working on serials, it was more about story telling but now it has become more gimmicky. So this transition was great and important for me at the same time.

On the stars of the film
Ranvir and Mallika are simply mind blowing. They are very professional and natural actors. As this is a female dominated love story with a dash of aggressiveness to it, Ranvir was supposed to get slapped by Mallika almost 99 times through the film. I think no actor in this film industry would have done this role, which Ranvir did. On the sets, Ranvir and Mallika used to sit down and device different techniques of slapping. I was stunned to see Ranvir sitting with Mallika and teaching her how to slap. It was really funny to hear their conversation when Ranvir told her methods in which a slap would look real etc. They both helped each other really well and their improvisations only helped the scenes get even better. Apart from them we have some interesting cameos done by interesting characters.

I don’t know why people have tagged Mallika as a very reserved person. I think she was pretty good on the sets, she gelled very well with everyone on the sets and above all, she is a thorough professional.

On the transition from TV to Silver Screen - Sachin KhotI think they shared a brilliant rapport, they were too natural and trust me, the rapport and the chemistry which you see between both of them on screen is exactly how they were on the sets also! I remember while we were shooting, there was this scene where Ranvir was suppose to carry Mallika and walk across the road, while shooting for this scene, Mallika purposely used to distract him and do something or the other so that we would re-shoot and so that Ranvir had to carry her all the way again. It was really funny; we all pulled his leg and backed Mallika on this one. According to me, the chemistry between any two actors look good only when they understand each other and help each other in the scenes… and that was exactly the case here.

On the cameo stars
Well, Zeenat Amanji does the biggest cameo in the film, and I am really excited about that. I won’t divulge much detail on this one but apart from her, there is a small but interesting cameo done by VJ Gaurav, VJ Vishal Malhotra and Manish Anand who play Ranvir’s friends in the film. They all have small but very well etched roles introduced at crucial times.

On Pyaar Ke Side Effects & Ugly Aur Pagli
Well, if you really see, then even Rahul Bose and Mallika Sherawat was an unusual pairing. It was Mr. Nandy’s idea to get Ranvir; he was quite keen on casting him and moreover he just suited the bill. I think I couldn’t have thought of any actor playing a lovable loser. And of course, this opposite pole chemistry always works.
No, there is no similarity between PKSE and Ugly Aur Pagli, there were no conscious efforts that were taken while penning down the story. The only similarity one will find between the two stories is of course Mallika and the fact that two drastically different people fall in love. In fact, in Pyaar Ke Side Effects, Rahul Bose was a kind of achiever, he had his own job, led his own life, but in Ugly Aur Pagli, Ranvir is a complete loser.

Mallika Sherawat draws huge crowd on sets

Mallika Sherawat draws huge crowd on sets Producer Ratan Jain had been shooting the Pondicherry schedule of Maan Gaye Mughal-E-Azam with the film’s lead pair Mallika Sherawat and Rahul Bose. The problem with shooting started when massive public thronged the sets to catch a glimpse of the sexy Sherawat.

Jain’s repeated pleas to the people to keep their distance fell before deaf ears. The crowd just did not budge, refusing to keep their distance from Malika Sherawat. This practically brought the shooting to a standstill.

Producer Ratan Jain confirmed the incident saying that he had to urgently call in the services of a private security agency. Practically about a hundred security personnel had to guard Mallika and keep the surging fans at bay. It is truly a revelation that the sexy siren is so famous even in the south.

Mallika and Ranvir in slap-stick comedy

Mallika Sherawat and Ranvir Shorey play the lead characters in Ugli aur Pagli .Mallika being the Pagli apparently had to use her hands aggressively more than Ranvir would have preferred.
According to the usually reliable inside sources, Mallika’s character in the film is hyper and so every time she gets excited, she slaps Ranvir. So he would get slapped almost everyday on the sets.
Ranvir is more fortright. He says that the title of the film is incorrect. Instead of Ugli aur Pagli it should be called Kahani 99 thappad Ki. He says he must have got slapped at least 100 times including all the retakes.
Looks like that life is certainly not fair for Ranvir. While most heroes opposite Mallika get to woo her and some lucky ones like Himanshu Malik and Emraan Hashme even get to lip-lock her, Ranvir gets only slaps from the sultry siren.

Mallika Sherawat to return Rs 25 Lks to Studio 18

Mallika Sherawat to return Rs 25 Lks to Studio 18 Based on a complaint lodged by Studio 18, Bollywood star Mallika Sherawat has been asked by the Indian Motion Picture Producers’ Association (IMPPA) to pay back the signing amount of Rs 25 Lakhs to the producers of the film Masquerade.

Sajjad Chunawala, of Studio 18, stated that the actress signed the agreement to act in the lead role in the film Masquerade. She also accepted a signing amount of Rs 25 Lakhs.

Then she allegedly demanded the production house to replace the movie’s director, Kundan Shah. When Studio 18 refused to budge, she demanded the cinematographer be replaced with one of her choice, Madhu Ambat, who demanded Rs 40 lakhs for the assignment.

The production house turned down her demand, saying the choice of the cinematographer was always the director’s prerogative. Mallika Sherawat then walked out of the movie, throwing the project into disarray.

IMPPA has now ordered her to return the signing amount of Rs 25 lakhs within one month or face the consequences of being banned from Bollywood.

Mallika Sherawat gets nawabi in culture

Mallika Sherawat gets nawabi in culture Who ever said that Mallika Sherawat isn’t a consummate actress? She may not yet be a profound thespian on screen, but she dons different roles in real life.
The latest of her behavioral traits is on display on the sets of Maan Gaye Mughall-E-Azam, when Mallika came up with a very unique style of greeting her costars and unit members.

The Hi and Hello became passe and traditional adakari became the custom to greet one another. And it was thanks to the sexy siren who greeted everyone with an adab by gently lifting her hand, a la Anarkali style. She even performed a few kathak steps to showcase her adaas and nakhras further.

Mallika always has a blast on her sets. On the last day of shooting for the film, the Murder actress threw a party for the entire shooting unit. And to help her set the mood for the film, she found this unique Lucknowi style to greet the cast and crew of the unit.

Mallika Sherawat Gets Cheap!

The ‘bare all’ girl of Bollywood, Mallika Sherawat has reduced her market price, post her series of flops. Her last two movies, Ugly Aur Pagli and Maan Gaye Mughal-E-Azam went all the way down on the box office.

Mallika Sherawat 1 2
Mallika Sherawat

Though, Welcome was regarded as a hit, but her role in the movie was quite limited. Her acting is being criticized in a very hard way after these two movies.

“Now with these two massive flops in a row, producers are being vary of negotiating any price with her beyond Rs, 75 lakhs and Mallika too has been left with no choice but comply with it.”

Even though Mallika made a bang with her debut Murder, but I guess, she would have to wait for some time before she could even start doing her ‘nakhras’, now that no director is taking note of her.

At the last time, she was heard as being signed up for at least one movie by Zee Group.
